Manoto
ManotoTV (You and I: من و تو) is an international free-to-air Persian language general entertainment channel launched in October 2010, owned by Marjan Television Network. It is based in London and its programs included documentaries, films, series, news and reports.
They needed some new character to be designed so they can replace Arabic numbers ٤٥٦ with Persian ones ۴۵۶ in an Open Source font that they were using.
Also in another project, they wanted to create special pre-written words like Now, Later, Today,.. embedded in a font so they can simply type them on top of the screen when TV programs was playing. Because it was a Persian language TV, but most of the crew were British, they needed to do that by pressing a Latin letter like q, w, e,… or typing numbers for the days of the week.
Filimo
Filimo (فیلیمو) is a video-on-demand streaming service, owned and operated by Saba idea. Filimo offers a wide variety of films, television series, documentaries, and other video content internationally.
Several 47Fonts are used in couple of Filimo’s top reality show titles like Mafia Nights, The GodFather,… From a modified version of Armit free font and commercial Yaddasht handwritten fonts to a bespoke font specially designed for those shows which I called it Mafia Nights font.
Rasm
Rasm (رسم) is a publication specialized in art books like graphic design, cinema, typography,… I had already designed Arabic Scratch font. But for a collection of Rasm’s cinema books, they decided to do some changes in the glyphs and characters, spacings and stuff like that. So I did those modifications and designed the book covers with the modified font.
And if you look closely, there is another less-scratchy yet still distorted version of the font used in smaller texts.
Golpooneh
A kids magazine and publication which was already using some of 47Fonts like Persepolis, wanted to have a bespoke special font to use on book and magazine covers, website banners, headers, sliders and also on social media posts.
I designed a font which could be matched with Persepolis, but also would be suitable for smaller texts while still keeping its childish vibe and fun vibrant form. I named it Golpooneh (گلپونه).
