Arabic Scratch Font

I designed this font for the cover of “Cinema Books by Rasm Publishing . I don’t think it needs much explanation. It’s a classic Arabic bold font with scratches and lines added to it. Of course, this was a lot of time-consuming work. I didn’t touch the kerning and spacing and just added the scratch layers to it, which is why I named it Scratch Arabic! It’s very suitable and looks great for large texts and headlines and titles. That’s where the full nuances of letters and positive and negative spaces can be seen. A font that many book cover designs from various publications have been designed with.

Shahab Siavash, the designer has done more than 47 fonts and got featured on Behance, Microsoft, McGill University research website, Hackernoon, Fontself, FontsInUse,... Astaneh and Hezareh text and headline fonts which is one of his latest designs, already got professional typographers, lay-out and book designers' attention as well as some of the most recognizable publications in Arabic/Persian communities.
